Testosterone is a crucial hormone, especially for the male body. Many physiological and psychological functions—such as muscle growth, fat percentage, bone development, mood, and sexual function—are influenced by testosterone levels. However, modern lifestyle and environmental factors are causing a significant decline in testosterone levels.
1) Use of BPA-Containing Plastics
BPA (Bisphenol A) is a chemical found in plastic bottles, storage containers, canned food linings, and even store receipts. Once inside the body, BPA mimics estrogen and disrupts the natural balance of the hormonal system.
It particularly affects the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, interrupting the signaling pathway between the brain and the testes. As a result, LH hormone signals that stimulate testosterone production decrease, and testosterone synthesis in the testes drops dramatically.

Furthermore, BPA has been observed to directly damage testicular tissue, causing structural abnormalities. Prolonged exposure turns this chemical into a silent saboteur of male hormones.
